Dale’s Picks: Week 6, 2023

Written by Dale Walters and Adam Ireland

Week 6 in the North American Football Conference (NAFC) promises to be an exciting one, with some intriguing matchups on the horizon. I’ve analyzed the key players and team dynamics to bring you my predictions for this week’s games.

Anchorage Commandos (3-2) vs Burlington Boss Hogs (3-2)

The Commandos and Boss Hogs are evenly matched in the standings, and this game could go either way. With Jalen Hurts and his supporting cast, Anchorage has a potent offense. The Boss Hogs, led by Josh Jacobs and Justin Herbert, have a balanced attack. However, I’m giving a slight edge to the Commandos, who have shown consistency in their recent wins.

Prediction: Anchorage Commandos

Vegas Odds:

Anchorage -15.4

O/U: 247.2

Commandos 57% chance to win.

Seattle Leathernecks (3-2) vs California Rebels (5-0)

California’s Rebels remain undefeated and have an explosive offense led by Josh Allen and his talented group. The Leathernecks, led by Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill, can certainly put up a fight. However, the Rebels’ dominance and strong defense should secure another win for them.

Prediction: California Rebels

Vegas Odds:

Seattle +1

O/U: 263.9

Rebels 50% chance to win.

Des Moines Raiders (3-2) vs Atlantic City Aces (1-2)

The Raiders have been a solid team this season, thanks in large part to Christian McCaffrey’s contributions. On the other hand, Atlantic City Aces have struggled, and they’ll be hard-pressed to contain McCaffrey and the Raiders’ offense.

Prediction: Des Moines Raiders

Vegas Odds:

Des Moines -11

O/U: 257

Raiders 54% chance to win.

El Paso Red Devils (1-4) vs Montana Wombats (4-1)

Montana has a strong 4-1 record and an explosive offense featuring D.J. Moore and Ja’Marr Chase. While El Paso’s Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford can make plays, they’ll have a tough time matching Montana’s firepower.

Prediction: Montana Wombats

Vegas Odds:

Paso +11.1

O/U: 263.1

Montana 54% chance to win.

Albuquerque Roadrunners (1-4) vs Los Angeles USMC (2-3)

Albuquerque is hoping to bounce back, but facing Los Angeles won’t make it easy. Patrick Mahomes and Alvin Kamara give USMC a potent attack, and I expect them to secure the victory at home.

Prediction: Los Angeles USMC

Vegas Odds:

USMC -10.7

O/U: 262.3

USMC 54% chance to win.

Moscow Black Bears (2-3) vs Austin Oilers (2-3)

This matchup could go either way, as both teams are sitting at 2-3. Austin’s Lamar Jackson and Tony Pollard give them an edge, especially if they can exploit Moscow’s defense. However, it’s worth keeping an eye on whether Austin Ekeler plays for the Black Bears. If he does, it might tip the scales in Moscow’s favor.

Prediction: Austin Oilers

Vegas Odds:

Austin -11.6

O/U: 255.2

Oilers 54% chance to win.

As always, remember that anything can happen in fantasy football, and upsets are part of the game. Enjoy the games and see how these predictions stack up against the actual results. It’s sure to be another thrilling week of NAFC action!
