NAFC Cracks Down on Illegal Lineups: Aces and Devils Face Fines

Written by Dale Walters

The NAFC has taken a firm stance against illegal lineups, fining both the Atlantic City Aces and the El Paso Red Devils for Week 9 infractions. In a surprising turn of events, the Aces started inactive players, while the Devils included Matthew Stafford, who was ruled out, in their starting lineup.

The Aces, currently at 1-7, are under scrutiny for their clear tanking strategy, evident from their repeated questionable lineup decisions. The recent violation has only amplified concerns about their commitment to fair play and sportsmanship. On the other hand, the Devils, also at 1-7, seemed to be on their way to a Week 9 victory before the illegal lineup cast a shadow on their performance.

The Commissioner’s Office has levied fines on both teams, intending to send a strong message about the importance of upholding the integrity of the league. The Aces were penalized with a fine of 2 figures ($10), while the Devils were fined $5 for each player involved in the illegal lineup.

While this step is the first in enforcing the league’s rules, the NAFC has made it clear that continued instances of tanking or illegal lineups will result in more severe penalties, including the potential stripping of draft picks from the offending teams.

The onus is now on the Aces and the Devils to improve their practices and demonstrate a commitment to fair play. The league’s dedication to maintaining a level playing field is unwavering, and any further violations will be met with stricter consequences.

The NAFC remains vigilant in its efforts to uphold the integrity and sportsmanship that form the foundation of competitive fantasy sports.
