The Commissioner’s Power Rankings: Week 6
The NAFC has reached Week 6, and it’s becoming clear which teams are starting to dominate and which are struggling to keep up. With division records taking precedence, followed by head-to-head matchups and then points for and against, these power rankings take it all into account. Here’s where the teams stand after a tumultuous Week 5:
1. Atlantic City Aces (4-1)
Week 3 Ranking : 2 | +1
Points For: 695.2 | Points Against: 571.3 | Division Record: 0-1
Atlantic City moves to the top spot after a dominant stretch of victories. Led by Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson, the Aces have outscored opponents by a wide margin. While they dropped a game to USMC, their overall performance keeps them at the pinnacle of the rankings with solid wins over Montana, DSM, and Seattle.
2. El Paso Red Devils (4-1)
Week 3 Ranking : 1 | -1
Points For: 685.1 | Points Against: 595.6 | Division Record: 1-1
The Red Devils slip to second after a surprising loss to Seattle, but they remain one of the strongest teams in the league. With Jordan Love and Kyren Williams leading their offense, they’ve taken down several key teams, including USMC and DSM. Despite their fall in the rankings, El Paso is still a contender for the top spot.
3. Los Angeles USMC (4-1)
Week 3 Ranking :7 | +4
Points For: 626.0 | Points Against: 607.6 | Division Record: 2-0
USMC surges up the rankings after a commanding victory over Atlantic City and now holds an unbeaten division record. Led by Lamar Jackson and Joe Mixon, their offense has become more consistent, and they are proving to be a real threat, especially within the division.
4. Burlington Boss Hogs (3-2)
Week 3 Ranking : 4 | No Change
Points For: 641.0 | Points Against: 641.7 | Division Record: 1-1
Burlington stays put in 4th after a close battle with USMC. Jalen Hurts continues to be a force, but defensive lapses have left them vulnerable at times. Still, with wins over California, Anchorage, and Moscow, Burlington is positioned well in the standings.
5. Montana Wombats (3-2)
Week 3 Ranking : 9 | +4
Points For: 608.8 | Points Against: 589.9 | Division Record: 0-1
Montana has quietly turned their season around after a rough start, securing wins over California, DSM, and Seattle. They don’t dominate in the point totals, but their balanced approach has led them to three wins. The Wombats will need to improve their division record to stay in the hunt.
6. Anchorage Commandos (2-3)
Week 3 Ranking : 10 | +4
Points For: 668.9 | Points Against: 634.4 | Division Record: 1-0
Anchorage moves up after their big win over Moscow. They’ve been competitive in nearly every game, and their victory against the Black Bears shows they can compete with tough teams. With Cooper Kupp returning soon, their offense is poised for a boost.
7. Seattle Heist (2-3)
Week 3 Ranking : 6 | -1
Points For: 647.7 | Points Against: 671.7 | Division Record: 1-1
Seattle managed to pull off a big win over the previously undefeated Red Devils, but inconsistencies remain. Alvin Kamara and James Cook provide plenty of firepower, but the Heist need to shore up their defense to keep moving up the rankings.
8. Albuquerque Roadrunners (3-2)
Week 3 Ranking : 8 | No Change
Points For: 566.7 | Points Against: 599.9 | Division Record: 2-0
Albuquerque maintains their position, buoyed by their perfect divisional record. However, their point totals are lower than many other teams at this level, and they’ve been inconsistent. Their win over Montana keeps them in the hunt, but their offense needs to find another gear.
9. California Rebels (2-3)
Week 3 Ranking : 5 | -4
Points For: 595.5 | Points Against: 575.1 | Division Record: 0-1
California drops after suffering two straight losses, including a tough one against Albuquerque. With Tua still sidelined, they’ve been unable to find consistency on offense. They’ll need to pick up a division win soon if they want to climb back into the top half of the rankings.
10. Des Moines Raiders (1-4)
Week 3 Ranking : 11 | +1
Points For: 574.9 | Points Against: 685.4 | Division Record: 1-1
The Raiders notch their first win of the season against Moscow, but they’ve still got a long way to go. They’ve struggled on both sides of the ball, and their high points against tally doesn’t inspire much confidence. Still, a win is a win, and it’s enough to move them out of the bottom spot.
11. Moscow Black Bears (2-3)
Week 3 Ranking : 3 | -8
Points For: 547.4 | Points Against: 635.5 | Division Record: 1-1
Moscow plummets down the rankings after a string of losses. Despite early success, their offense has sputtered, and injuries to key players like Isiah Pacheco have left them scrambling. The Bears need a major turnaround to avoid sliding further down the rankings.
12. Austin Oilers (0-5)
Week 3 Ranking : 12 | No Change
Points For: 590.4 | Points Against: 639.6 | Division Record: 0-2
It’s been a rough season for Austin, as they remain the only winless team in the NAFC. The talent is there with Ja’Marr Chase and Deebo Samuel, but nothing has clicked so far. They’ll need to make some adjustments if they want to salvage the season.
With Week 6 upon us, the standings are beginning to take shape, but there’s still plenty of time for teams to make moves. Division battles will be key, and we’ll see who can rise to the challenge as we approach the halfway point of the season.
